We, Qaboos bin Said,
Sultan of Oman
After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree No. 101/96,
the Omani Penal Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. 7/74,
Royal Decree No. 39/76 Establishing the Directorate General for Specifications and Standards at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry,
Royal Decree No. 1/78 Specifying the Competences of the Directorate General for Specifications and Standards at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry,
and the National Law on the System of Measurement and Legal Calibration promulgated by Royal Decree No. 74/90,
and after presentation before the Council of Oman,
and in pursuance of public interest,
We decreed as follows
